Workshop will be led by Mrs Shoko K– Hanson and Mr Vendrice Garvin. The theme of the workshop: Textbook 4-13, Dried, Bleached, or Coloured Materials (枯れもの・漂白花材・着色花材).

Mrs Shoko Koizumi-Hanson: Shoko started Sogetsu Ikebana while living in San Jose, California and has devoted herself to it now in London. Since 2013 she is a member of the London Branch.
Being member of the San Jose branch and Los Angeles branch, she had many opportunities to attend master instructors’ demonstrations.
Memorable occasions were by Iemoto Akane Teshigahara, Kumiko Kato-sensei, Tetsunori Kawana-sensei, Shinobu Okazaki-sensei and Shinichi Akiyama-sensei.

She has been attending a class by Ikuyo Morrison-sensei and acquired First Grade, Jonin Some in September 2019.

Mr Vendrice Garvin (Jimmi): Vendrice’s passion for Japanese floral art started as a youngster in Jamaica. He studies with Ikuyo Morrison-sensei and received his Third Grade Teacher’s diploma in November 2019.

He succeeded Mrs Shoko Koizumi-Hanson as the next director of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana London Branch in 2019.
