About Dr Mary Stewart:

Dr Mary Stewart studied Sogetsu Ikebana with Stella Coe, between 1973 and 1984 in London.
She visited Sogetsu School in Tokyo for the 60th anniversary celebration in 1980.
She was on the organising committee of the first UK Ikebana International convention in 1982, at Maidstone in Kent, where the third Iemoto Hiroshi Teshigahara demonstrated.
She wrote with Stella Coe for Century Hutchison in 1984; ‘Ikebana: A Practical and Philosophical Guide to Japanese Flower Arrangement’ which was published in 1986.
She has retired to Herefordshire, but she has been giving demonstrations or workshops in the UK.
