We welcomed Mrs Anke Ma Verhoeven from the Netherlands for our Workshop on 29^th May 2015. This was her second visit to us and she once again performed the demonstration and led the workshop in a very inspiring and informative manner. The participants created two Ikebana arrangements with different themes  – ‘With Leaves Only’ & ‘Floating Arrangements’. The day together with Mrs Verhoeven passed at a pleasant pace despite the very tight schedule. Among her natural and beautiful arrangements, she also showed us an interesting usage of the exotic plant materials which she had spotted at London’s largest flower market. We also raised a glass for the late Mrs Barbara Joyce after a short memorial speech by her ex-students to celebrate her life dedicated to Ikebana. (The article – by Keiko Takahashi)
