London Branch’s 8th Annual Exhibition was held on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June 2017 at its usual venue of Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel, Hampstead.

In commemoration of our branch’s 10th year anniversary and the Head Quarter’s 90th year anniversary, our theme of the exhibition was “celebration”.

Madame Tsuruoka, wife of the Japanese Ambassador to the UK kindly cut the ribbon to open the event. We felt very privileged that Madame Tsuruoka could fit this event into her crowded schedule. There were many splendid displays to commemorate the celebration atmosphere using early English summer flowers.

We organised an “Ikebana trial lessons” on Saturday and many enthusiastic learners gained good experience. I am sure that they thoroughly enjoyed the lessons.
There were many visitors who gained information from advertisements and fliers, and also many passers by on the Hampstead High Street came to see the exhibition.
We had a lot of positive comments and good compliments.
Thanks to the exhibitors’ great efforts, displaying their own feelings with their arrangements. This event was a great success.
